Stakeholder #3

The third stakeholder in this article is Dr. Mark Russak, another veterinarian, who believes that Dr. John Robb is hurting the animals by under-vaccinating animals.

Dr. Mark Russak is a man with little hair, rocking the bald look with a beard, mustache, goatee combo. He also has circular glasses and a smile that seems genuine. He is often pictured with various animals, mostly dogs, and dresses very nice. With the title of National American Hospital Association President, he is highly respected in the public's eye. His past experiences also hold a lot of weight that leave many people trusting him. He earned his bachelor's degree and DMV from Colorado State University, taught at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine for seven years, and he also owned a multi-doctor AAHA practice for 25 years in Connecticut. He has been given numerous awards and has participated in countless organizations supporting the work in Veterinary Medicine. He is a certified Veterinary Journalist because of his experiences and achievements and has hosted many radio talk shows and one TV show on Veterinary Medicine. People speak of him very highly and have said that he teaches his students to be the next generation of "gentle doctors". He has around nine videos on Youtube explaining and giving advice to those who are in the Veterinary field, depicted as a well versed, yet relaxed guy.

Main Claims:

1. Vaccines have undergone specific trials to give a correct dosage

"These vaccines have been manufactured from rigorous scientific trials and research to deliver the correct amount of antigens. Antigens are what is developed from the disease-producing agent that will stimulate the body enough to mount an antibody attack against that disease," Russak said.

2. He refutes Dr. John Robb's claim that the dose should be smaller.

"I have never read anything from any credible source that says the dose is one cubic centimeter, but you can give as much or as little as you would like. It doesn't make sense," he said.

3. Believes that he must protect animals first and that a half a dose is not protecting them.

"For my pets and animals, I want to know that they have got everything they need to protect them, and if they are given a half dose, they may not be protected," he said.

His claims are backed up by a large amount of research and he is a very well respected person, so his claims seem to still be valid towards the event. He is in a high position so he may be biased towards not loosing his position of power, but, again, his claims seem to be backed up by research that he has said. He probably is most similar to the Banfield Pet Hospital because he sees John Robb's practice as invade and unjust.
