Stakeholder #1

If you haven't noticed throughout my posts, there is one main stakeholder that takes up most of my sentences. He is the man who reignited the debate on over vaccinations of pets. John Robb.

With slightly greying hair that recedes into an 'M' shape on the top of his head, Dr. John Robb is a man of many talents, beliefs, and accomplishments that distinguish him from the vast majority of veterinarians in the States. Usually wearing more formal outfits, Dr. Robb accessorizes with a pair of reading glasses with a red string to tie them around his neck and a colorful tie to leave his clients feeling cheerful as they enter his previous place of work, Banfield Pet Hospital. He studied at University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science, Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, and Plant Sciences. He's worked at Banfield Pet Hospital, Farmignton Valley Veterinarian Emergency Clinic, and VCA. He's volunteered for numerous organizations such as Animal Wellfare and Disater and Humanitarian Aid. He also has a certificate to be a Laser Surgeon and a Hall of Fame award as a Practice Builder in 1993. The Banfield Pet Hospital was the hospital that he previously owned in Stamford, Conneticut. He has been since banned and fired from the hospital for his practices of giving smaller animals smaller dosages than the accepted amount. Society has a mixed view on John Robb due to his beliefs about over-vaccination that he believes the Veterinary Science world is doing.

Main Claims:

1.That his company, among many others are over-vaccinating their clients.

"They are practicing the old model. It has been proven now that vaccines are killing pets, over-vaccinations are killing pets at an unprecedented rate," Dr. John Robb said

2. That the company is being too harsh with his punishment and they have ulterior motives

"He believes that the corporations are not only unfairly targeting him because they want to ultimately cease franchise ownership for their hospitals, but are jeopardizing the health of his clients' pets." -talking about John Robb.

3.He believes that he is doing right by under vaccinating the pets. He is being morally sound.

"You can't let the business side of your practice dictate the quality of your care. You got into animal medicine for a reason. Never forget that" -Dr. John Robb

The claims that he believes in seem to be things that he truly believes and things that he isn't lying about. However, he definitely uses animals to his advantage to show how it is endangering and how his first priority is to protect the animals. He also doesn't have specific facts about if there is such a thing as over-vaccinations, but there have been many other people who have spoken about the harms of over-vaccinations. These claims are more emotional than the other stakeholders overall, but his claims are also backed up by other, previous research.
